I don't beleive we've met...

I have a Discover America song stuck in my head. It's okay, I really like the song! It's called Green Eyes.

I just woke up about an hour ago (at noon), and I realized that I've been having bad dreams for a pretty long time now. I don't know why I didn't realize it sooner... I just don't think it registers when I wake up that I was having unpleasant dreams. I don't know how long they've been consecutively bad dreams, it could be a couple weeks, it could be a couple months. No idea. But they've all been really panicked... racing cars, underwater mazes, pursuit from scary villains, psychological torture, high-mountain cliffs, bombs, you get the idea.

Last night I was in a place I had been before (in my dreams, not in real life), and I climbed down this cliff face to get to the water down below. It was a really pretty place. When I got to the water, I swam to the near-by bank. The water was crystal-clear, it wasn't cold even though it looked like it should be, and I climbed out on the bank of a very big field with tall, yellow grass everywhere. It looked like it could have been a junk yard with all the old furniture and crap that was sitting everywhere, but it wasn't. It was more like a place furniture went after it was lost. It was a beautiful day, clear blue sky, and I could see for miles and miles in every direction. I was looking at a cabinet of drawers, inspecting the handle. But when I turned to face the cliff I had just climbed down, and the car parked at the top that contained the people that I was just with, I realized something was very, very wrong. They must have, too, 'cause they yelled at me to come back. Then I looked at the sky at the same time I remembered that the last time I dreamt about this place, it exploded. So I started running back to the car, while in the sky something that looked like a boat I had passed while climbing down was headed straight towards the field. Then I woke up enough to play through different scenarios in my head before the field exploded.

Before the whole cliff-field part of the dream there were a ton of other parts of my dream that were unpleasant, but I won't bore you with the details. Just a few near-collisions, mountain races, and a bunch of things I'm pretty fuzzy on.

Anyway, my weekend hasn't been as homework-filled as it should have been. I didn't do anything yesterday, and Friday, all I did was work on my logo for Corporation Identification. Maybe I should get to work.

Ahhh, much better

I just took an hour-long, much-needed, well-deserved, long-awaited bath, and I feel great. Now I'm eating canned peaches, and working on homework. Enjoy your evening!

"Dude, Easy Mac is NOT easy."

Brrr. It's been really cold the past few days. A week ago it was pretty nice out, and sunny. It's still been mostly sunny, I suppose. And I can stand the cold so much more since it's not all soggy outside. But still, it's cold. It snowed today! Didn't stick, but I was happy to know there was snow in my hair.

There was an AIGA meeting today... We don't really advertise the meetings, so no one showed up. The president and the teacher club advisor didn't even show up. There was one person other than Paul, Ryan and I, and we only showed up 'cause I remembered while I was in the shower this morning. Hah, awesome.

So after the meeting, Paul and I went to Meggan and Daniel's, 'cause they wanted to go to Fry's Electronics. So we went... Paul and Daniel both ended up buying a PS2 and the game Guitar Hero. If you haven't heard, it's the hottest thing since an iPod. In order to demonstrate the game's popularity, please keep in mind that Daniel and Paul each bought a new PS2 system just so they could play Guitar Hero. Yeah.

So we went back to M&D's house so Paul and Daniel could battle guitars, and we drove back to Vancouver. When we pulled up to his house, I stopped in the road 'cause Paul's car wasn't sitting where it was supposed to be. And then I remembered, and laughed. And then Paul remembered. We forgot it in the garage under the school. Oops. We'll get it later.

So now I'm internetting, and Paul's playing Guitar Hero. Between Final Fantasy XI and Guitar Hero, I don't think Paul will ever see the light of day, ever again.

El Weekend

This has been a great weekend! Let me start at the beginning. Thursday afternoon, Paul got an email from his parents saying they were going to California the next day, and they asked if he wanted to go. I encouraged him to go, since he didn't have much homework, and he hadn't seen his grandma or uncle in a while. So Friday afternoon, Paul left for California.

Friday night, I went to a potluck at David and Athena's house. There were so many people! I brought chili cheese fries, and everyone else brought alcohol. So we all got drunk. I stayed the night at David's house, and then in the morning... we all drove to Madras! David and Athena's hometown. I've never been there before, but let me tell you: it is very, very cold there. Apparently it was 8 degrees fahrenheit there a few days ago. Eight degrees! On the way there, driving through the mountain passes, I saw a few small frozen waterfalls, for the first time in my life. It was neat. I got a few pictures of the drive, but not many.

When we got there we ate lunch at this little Mexican restaurant (I can't remember the name of it), and it was very tasty. I got a chimichanga. Mmmm. Oh, and we had the sweetest waitress ever. She knew David and Athena, 'cause I guess they used to go there all the time. She even remembered what David used to order. After lunch we went to the skate park, but it was too cold for David to even want to skate. We were there, freezing our butts off for almost an hour, then Athena came back with the car (she had dropped us off so she could run home really quick).

So, we went to David's house. El Casa de Santos. His parents were both really nice people, and they made us an excellent dinner of taquitos, with potatoes inside since Tom and Athena are vegetarians. Hah, they thought this was a really weird concept, since they had meat several times every single day. They just couldn't understand why anyone would want to give up eating meat, especially voluntarily. I'm with them. Damned herbivores...

Then we went to a show for about five minutes, to find William (David and Athena's friend and former roommate). Then we went to the hospital so Athena could see her mom (don't worry, she just works there), and then we were headed home again.

I'm so glad I decided to go, I had a really good time! I looooove road trips, actually. They're one of my favorite things, ever. I'm one of those "look out the window for hours at a time just to think about things" kind of people. Not so big on conversation in the car. Of course I don't mind it, especially if they're just short little, driving-in-the-city kinds of trips. But staring out the window and being quiet, that's what I prefer. With music on (but that goes without saying).

Today's a homework day. I don't have much of it this week, which is awesome, but I could stand to concentrate on some bigger projects of classes that aren't due yet.

Oh yeah, Paul comes back on Monday. While I'm at school. But I am enjoying my weekend alone; it's nice.

Bleh. I'm not big on that shit.

Here's a new post. I'm sorry, but I never feel like updating this thing. I start to write a post, then decide I don't want to finish it when I'm half-way done. And instead of saving it for later, I just move on, thinking that I won't have the same flavor in my head if I "come back to it later." So this is just something tiny to hold you over for now.

Nothing exciting has been going on lately. I don't really mind that. But I left in the middle of class today because I felt extremely restless. Very much so. So, I went on a walk. It was a beautiful day, the lecture wasn't extremely beneficial, and I wanted to do something. So I went on a walk and ended up elsewhere, which is exactly where I wanted to be. And I got some water there. And went back to class feeling much satisfaction. I suppose that makes for a good day, don't you?
